ek/eg suspension


front is same, rear is not, to fit eg rear shocks you will need spacers/washers assuming they are not the JDM ITR style and then they will not fit at all unless you have the fancy fuction7 rear LCA for ek with ITR coilovers which is like $280!
 
yeh seem to have slight differnt fitment.
my meister r coilovers i bought, come with spacers to suit both cars.
 
I have a EG6 and was interested in some shocks a guy was selling from his ek9.

I notice the rear suspension are fork style from the ek9, meanwhile my eg6 go's in between the arm.

But the front suspensions do fit

If so,can i get the Ek9 LCA + rear suspension to fit in my Eg6 then? Will there be any issues watsoever,mate?

No No No... it wouldn't work.
EK LCA are longer than the EG LCA, so they won't fit.

If you want to fit:

EG Coilovers to EK: You need to put washer/spacers between the rear fork and the LCA Bush.

EK Coilovers to EG: You need to grind down the LCA bush or replace the LCA bush with a EK bush.

The front is the same between the EG and the EK.

OR,just buy aftermarket LCAs that can fit EK shockers

You cannot get aftermarket LCA that will fit the EK shock because if it fit the EG chassis, it won't have the EK shock.

The EG Frok is about 50mm, and the EK Fork is about 40mm

So to fit the EK fork (40mm) into a EK bush (40mm), then you need to either replace the EG bush with the smaller EK bush, or grind 5mm off each side of the EG bush to reduce it size so you can fit the 40mm EK fork into it.

you mean to replace eg's shock buch with any ek's bush?it will fit to eg?

The bush that the damper connect to on the LCA.

EG: 50mm Bush
EK: 40mm Bush

So if you want to put the EK fork onto a EG LCA, it won't work as the fork are only 40mm wide.
You will need to replace the EG 50mm bush with a 40mm bush, then the EK 40mm fork will fit in.

That make sense?
