Right guys, haven't been able to find much in terms of concrete info/advice about this so here goes. I've got a 1.4i EJ9 (year 2000) facelift, but REALLY am not liking the bubble look it's got going at the mo. Was thinking of doing an EK9 bumper swap over  (I like both pre facelift + facelift so either would do me fine) but need to know for sure, if the EK bumpers would fit or if it would be a case of having to swap hoods and quarter panels..

I apologise if it's been posted up on the forum before but I can't seem to find it :nerv:

A picture of the car just for reference

Thanks guys :))

P.S what's a sensible price for bumpers? :)

Facelift ek9 bumpers are the same… Pre-facelift would require the whole front end to be swapped over, rear is still the same.

just get a type r lip, the facelift bumpers are the same regardless of model.

Made this for my fiance :) didn't know about that guys sorry haha having a blonde moment! I just remembered him telling me about the EK bumpers and he left his PC on so voila!

I can delete this if need be :)

Haha no worries, i automatically assumed you were a bloke so apologies for that haha

It's my dad's STI :) got about 380 at the flywheel iirc but I'm fully insured.
When I put the foot down it's like

Actually whilst I have your attention! would it be worth him getting a B16 swap in the future and getting a B18 lower block? Maybe overboring it running a lower compression could give him room to turbo if he fancied? He said "Umm, well, I'll just get an EK4 since they come with more OEM higher spec parts rather than getting down n dirty on the GILF EJ9....."

i'd be more inclined to go for a ek4, saves insurance hassle and better spec'd overall for usually less money than it would cost to bring a ej9 up to a ek4 spec.

If your up for something to do and its a particulaly good shell then go for it. Nothing better than seeing a project take shape.

Elchunk is right though its far cheaper and easier to simply buy a 4. Its just finding a clean unmolested one...

Also where do you lot hide? Women that are into cars dont exist, not in my neck of the woods atleast haha

We're not born, we come down from the heavens.

and fair does about the 4. His EJ has no rust. and I do mean, NO rust. Had an old lady owner that owned it since new, even the engine oil looks like that of a new car..
