Hi..
I would like to share my Ej9 drag car build here.. And maybe get some "outside"
opinions/tricks aso.. Im on a low budget, and all by my self on this one, so its not a build that will be finished right away.
I got the car in 2011, and had planed to build a sleeved/strocked B18c6/port/polished head aso. Head is ready, port/polish by slowmotionmotorsports usa, with supertech valvetrain aso. But the blok i got my hands on was no good (spun main bearing) So my projekt stopt.. I already have an ek4 as dd, with tuned b18c6 swap, that ive been driving at some events in Denmark, so as fastestcarofDenmark (dhb) Best ET so far 13,21@1/4mile.. Hope to go mid 12´s with same setup in the stripped down EJ9. The EK is with bigger brakes, sunroof, abs, srs aso.. and has never been stripped more than rear seats/rear plastic panels..

So now my plan is to swap the engine into the EJ9 and lose a LOT af weight.

This EJ9 is original from Italy. So has absolutly 0 rust :) a good basic to start building from  The car is born without ABS and SRS, but with AC :) So i wont have to remove all that...
The D14 is gone along with ALL wires (making my own harness)

Ready for B-series swap..

Engine was build back in 2008 and has run 30.000 km as dayli driver.. And still makes same power as the first day it was tuned in.. Ive been runing it at several event, Denmark only, and the engine has never been pulled out since then. I made the gearbox the 2. season(2009), with a Quaife lsd, 4,292 ATS final drive, carbon syncros and a handfull af new bearings :) MUCH better than stock B16 gearbox :) Vmax is now 228 km/h 5. gear 9300rpms.. With stock tranny vmax 268 km/h in 5. gear and 9300 rpms :)

Lightest EK with B swap I've seen was around 850kg... but that was pretty extreme and not road legal I doubt. Quite a few guys on here are around 950kg...

I ran a 12.9 with a b18c6, car weighed 840kg (EG6).

Got the car "finished" and we ran 12.4536@180,48km/h with a bad 1,95 60`
The suspension SUX big time, some old Koni`s with lowering springs KAW i think..
But thats was what i had..
Next step will be 10 kg springs in the front, and 18 kg rear. That should bring the 60 times a bit down. When the engine was i in my streetcar, best 60 was 1,64/1,67, but best ET was 13,22/13,48ish...
So i cut about 1 sec af my old time, switching chasis from street EK4 to stripped down EJ9.

Have not had the chance to weigh the car yet...
