ok so i havent been on for a WHILE . busy with work and just started school very busy schedule now .. but thought id give a few updates on how shes running ...car currently sits with stock SOHC d16y7 with minor bolt ons ... i just recently purchased a b16a the one out of a jdm del sol?? i think rated from factory at 170hp?? anyways .. was able to find a good deal on it WITH PAPERS .. got it for $750 (US) only thing missing was the tranny which did not bother me one bit because i wanna get a LSD tranny.. idk if that motor came lsd but anyways recent purchases are :
Walbro 255
AEM fuel rail
AEM fuel regulator
ACT Xtreme pressure plate hydro full face
obd2a to obd1 jumper harness
motor came with aem tru timing cam gears
i wanted some opinions ...
should i get type R cams or aftermarket cams?? i heard its better to switch the cams from the regular b16 to the type r. is this true? also would it be better type r or after market ... next ..LOL this is a funny one .... what other upgrades do you think i should invest in? im gunna be doing all of this with my mechanic he does pretty good work i have seen a DA that he has built with a B18c GSR. it has 194 WHP and its ready for turbo .. so its currently at 194 all motor .. i would like to be some where around there if not then at least 180 -185 WHP on my b16 .. what upgrades do you think i should focus more on ?
the b16 is also coming with 4 2 1 headers dont remember the brand and for now i might still be running my custom 2.5 piping with ebay axle back
any advice would be greatly appreciated THANKS!!
