Ok guys. I've been putting off starting a build thread since I've joined the site. so lets get started. I've had the car for close to 2 years now. haven't done anything to crazy. here are some pics of when i first got the car. I really wish i would have gotten a picture of the stock engine bay.

Here is a link to the modifications and parts list. http://www.ek9.org/index.php?thread...build-a-rolling-collection.66844/#post-749224

Its a '97 civic DX completely stock. note the dealership tags :))

One of the first things i got for the car, was a used genuine SiR hatch straight from HMO.
note: the wiper delete and painted garnish :))

Next up would be Egay sleeves and 15" Konig Candys on 195/45/15 tires. 6000K HID kit. also a set of ion blue fog lights. I dont have any pictures of the sleeves. I bought them used anyway. No pics of the HID and fog light installation either. It was nothing fancy and im sure you all know what it looks like.

Next a few interior bits. I got an Si cluster and did some custom amber work to it, so the Si and redline would light up. I also painted the needles yellow and put some carbon on the garnish, to give it a type R look. And i also did all of the climate control in amber. and a spoon shift knob.

I want everyone to know that i didn't document many pictures over the past year so a lot of the process is not shown. i never really liked trying to take photos in between doing all the work. usually i just like to get it done.

Here is the turbo kit i pieced together on the stock y7 that i ran in 2012. It was nothing special, but it ran decent. i just wanted something fun, until i could afford my type R.it had a few good bits. garrett .50 turbo. XS BOV. Tial wastegate. RC 440 injectors. skunk2 throttle body. z6 intake manifold and a chipped p28 on chrome with a street tune.
i basically ran this setup all summer and didn't do much more to the car, until off season came.

Here is when the real fun starts. us pulling, or should i say, dropping the y7. Getting ready for Type R.

now clean the bay up a bit.

I removed all of the interior and pulled the carpet to completely remove all sound deadening. if you look, you can still see a patch left on the driver side.

Took the carpet, floor mats, and the Recaros i just picked up. to the wash to spray it all down.

And this is what i vaccummed out of the Recaros after spraying them down. :wow:

all fresh and clean

Reinstall of the interior

Note the OEM type R boot, and radio block off:nice:

note the dash was still pretty dusty from grinding down the remaining glue from the sound deadening

15" gold Konig Candys Width: 7.5" Offset +35 i was not using any spacers either, so they could have been poked out even more. Im not sure what they weighed. No they did not rub at all.
