does any 1s ek9 rev limit to 9600 if so how

hi ive just brought a k9 and its runs perfect basically standard execpt mugun twinloop and manifold. its still ristricted and limits about 8800 whilst my says his goes to 9600 how come the differance

Nope my engine when i get it back from its hi comp build will be a TRUE 8800. I'd suggest your mates engine with revs that high has the ecu played with and i truely hope its a well built STRONG engine cause it won't last very long! Stick to your tacho reading of 8800!!!

rev counter is way out in alot of cases,tis 400rpm out in my own at high revs

same here my ek9 ecu is crossover at 6.3ish and reving to 9. but when i put my mates standard b16a2 ecu in the vtec starts at 5.5 and revs to 8.5.

i just thought that his ecu poosibly been chipped before

My spoon ECU limits at 9100rpm, looks like 9500rpm on the clocks

Wouldn't be revving past 9100 on a standard engine
