Im thinking of getting some NGK plug cables. Have you guys experienced a significant difference with them?

My factory cables are 90+k kms old so I think they've deteriorated quite a bit. :)

i only use ignition cables if the car has old ones and needs a new set, other then that i would not expect a hp increase. i only use NGK and STOCK plug wires.

get some ultra performance leads :p

simply put, the answer to your question is no

at 90k i would replace your leads though as they simply dont work as well as they get older/used

If your gonna get new HT leads get nology hotwires £150,or ultra ht leads (jdm only) around £100 there both very good

What would be the life time of the OEM plug cables? :wow:

oem or NGK thats the only way for me, weve used oem on 450hp motors!!

Hey! do you know which model ngk leads suit the ek9 cause most websites dont mention the ek9 model just Ex/Si or DX etc. or 91-00 vtech

If its a US site just get the ones compatible with the b18c5 (ITR motor), if not that I would say 99-00 si, as that is a b16a2.
Blinx is right, stock honda ignition systems rule.

so would you recommend going to a honda dealer and just getting a new set of the original ones

NGK or stock, you really cant go wrong. I really cant tell you what is "best", I havent tried aftermarket plug wires personally.

Thanks for the input guys.

I hear that most gains when changing cables are from the wear of the original ones, rather than the improvements from using performance cables. People (reputable) have been telling me NGK ones seem to result in a stable output with consistent and low resistance, which also makes it last longer compared to stock though... = more power/time :D

Ill be going for NGK in that case. Their claim of a stronger spark cant hurt anyway. :D

And apparantly some people have been having grounding issues with Nology Hotwires...

have never noticed any difference from any leads... and truth be told i only put them on the ek4 cos they were blue and so was everything else :D
