Hi,
I am just curious if any one of you guys out there have tried to

(Can)spray//paint your own car before?? :nerv:

P.S i parked on the street..and someone hit my rear bumper..chipped and scratch my paint....what should i do T_T ...

dude do it the right way...give it time and dont can spray it

have you tried searching here? there are a lot of DIY painting jobs here man..all you have to do is search..goodluck :)

I'm currently repainting the whole inside of my car with cans, if you're good at using them, cans are ok..

There is no way that you will get a factory-quality finish without the proper equipment and place to do it, if you spray the outside of your car with a an aerosol spray can it will look ass up close.

If you prep the area properly and get a good build up of paint, provided it's good quality paint there's no reason why you couldn't polish it to a manufacturer quality finish

I thought SleepyStanley510 was talking about a large area respray.

Personally I'd rather spray an aerosol up my nose than try to repaint a large area of my car with it. :p

Mate you will NEVER get OEM quality paint with cans
Or DIY im pretty sure
If you do DIY you will end up putting it to a pro anyway
You could prep it yourself properly and save a bit of cash

I agree with this man ^.

Most of the labour is in the preparation so just read-up on preparing it then take it to a bodyshop for the painting.

You talk ****.

Granted most people would make a hash of it, but in the hands of someone with some skill, can paint can come out VERY well. And as I said previously, get a good build up and there's no reason why you couldn't polish it to a mega shine.

Calm down lad. I'm sure it's possible, but if you've never done it before it's more likley to turn out rubbish than good.

oh thanks guys i actaully thought no one replied so i kind of stopped looking into this page
! but yeah it was not large area of the bumper but like a strip of line on the rear bumper which that im trying my best to cover it. I am a total rookie though i didnt expect the Pro quality but as long as its not too noticeable i guesss i will try the link that championship whites provided and fix the damage.

When i bought my car. Silver ej hatch, the person i bought the car off scraped a bit of the quater panel and bumper. Anyway he gave me a bumper with the car i scuffed it down weel and sprayed it with paint out of a tin from halfords. didint know how it would turn out. If it turned out a disaster i would scuff it down and get it sprayed properly, after all its only a bumper. It turned out grand. but im deffentally getten quater panel sparyed properly.

Touch ups with spray paint maybe. I still wouldnt recommend it. Only a retard would spray paint theyre car. Your better off buying a paint gun, and painting it in your garage. Your car will never look good by spray painting it.

ill get pics of my rear bumper up soon. btw the best place to take a look at a paint job is at night time in a petro station fourcourt i've found
