Defi guages

Hi guys

I bought the Defi guages that Firas had for sale on here last week.

The guage unit also came with all the necessary wiring but no sensors. I'm under the impression that I will need to buy Defi sensors so the connectors on the wiring will match up with the connectors on the sensors
The guages I've got measure oil temp+pressure and water temp

I've got a Moroso sump fitted which means I'll be able to measure the oil temp+pressure off the one sensor wont I?

Has anybody got these guages fitted to their car and can advise me where the best place is to get them from? Just cause I'm not 100% sure exactly what I need

once there is a signal doesnt matter if they match i would imagine..one way to find out.
 
Yeah I has been thinking that I could use any sensor but I'm just not sure if the connectors will match up. I'm also not sure if you can get one sensor to read the oil temp and pressure or if you need 2 separate ones for that
 
Generally you'll need 2 separate sensors for the pressure and temperature :nice:
 
Had a feeling that would be the case, don't suppose anybody knows of anywhere that sells the Defi sensors?

i got aftermarket ones on ebay as my APEXI gauges came without them for oil temp and oil pressure.
still to wire the senders up but the pressure one worked for a friend on aftermarket gauges.
worth a shot as they are only £12-£15.

I had looked at that edo performance site a couple of days ago, just wasn't too sure what I'd be needing.. As you say it also is pretty expensive there

I've not had anything to do with wiring up gauges before so if I get those sensors off eBay how do I go about wiring them up? Just get a multiplug and some wire and join it?
