Hoping someone might be able to give me some info.
Last few weeks iv been noticing what i suppose could be called dead spots through the rev band
as im driving really noticible around 50/60% throttle the car feels like its accelerating and pulling back on and off like its struggling or being choked of either fuel or air
Kinda hard to explain I think it might be either a fuelling or spark problem
Anybody have any ideas or experienced this before ?
Thanks for any info
Graham

As you already said it sounds like either fuelling or spark. I would start with the simplest and cheapest - new fuel filter and new dizzy cap/rotor.

is your car standard or has it been remapped? Ive had mapped cars do this, just down to crap generic maps. As above if not though, could be something simple too - start with cheap jobs!

if it's really hesitant it's could be dizzy as that's how mine felt before dizzy failed then it wouldn't do anything of course

Could also be TPS... Or a number of other things, fuel filter, plugs, dizzy, ht leads/coil packs, lamba sensors the list is endless.

More info required what car is it? What rpm? Mileage?

Car is mapped but it's running the same if not worse on the standard ecu
It's a b16a2 with all bolt on's and cams
Seems to be most prominent around 3-6000 revs
Engine has about 70k miles
Ps.its worth noting that this doesn't seen to be happening all the time , occasionally (maybe once in 15 drives it seems to be fine)
