Alright, looking to get back into a honda in the near future as a miss my EK9 big time! Been looking around at EK9's DC2's and DC5's and came across cars in Ireland that are cheap as ****. EK9's selling for £3-4000 and DC5's selling for £4-5500 :wow:

Why they so cheap? Are the cars all dodgy or scams or the Irish just nuts!

Honda : CHEAP 2002 DC5
2002 DC5 69000 Miles £5,650

Honda INTEGRA type r dc5 for sale in Roscommon: €5,700 - DoneDeal.ie
2001 DC5 ? Miles £4,910

dc5 for sale in Carlow: €6,250 - DoneDeal.ie
2001 DC5 145,000Kilo £5,380

Down south (southern ireland), imports tend to be a fair bit cheaper than the rest of the uk.. Was looking at a yellow ek9 with b18 on donedeal last week for 4k!!! :wow:

Yep they are all just nuts :p

been lookin at the prices over the last few months plummeting!!

basically theres **** all jobs, everyones broke and need cash quick.. forces sale of oour nice cars for cheap. that would be the story for most of the cheap cars anyway. i think its gone to the dogs anyway, DC5's are a crazy price!!

lad i live with selling his b18 ek4 for around 3k!! he is on here too ;)

ya lad the irish cant afford ta run them with price off petrol and no jobs lads!!!

i wont be selling tho ha ha :))

Ye loads over there are dead cheap i was looking on it about a month or 2 ago some good cars for a bargain

Yea they are so cheap.. No way will I sell mine cause I will never get anywhere near what its worth. Great time for buying a car, **** time to sell

i went and looked at 2 dc5's in ireland a few weeks ago, both silly money, between 5500 and 6500 for what would of been an awsome buy but they had both been in accidents, not that it stated it in any of the adverts, and if it wasnt for my eagle eyed friend i had with me i would of bought one of them, i luckily picked up a bargin 04 plate dc5 with 32k miles for 9k, you really need to shop about.

i think the straight answear is mate the irish economy right now isnt the best so lots of cars especially hondas are going for pennys. its definately the time to buy over there however its a shame for the guys in ireland having to sell there cars for this sort of money

Have my mint ek9 in storage haven't driven it in a year, it's a pity to keep a car and not use it, but there is no point letting it go for stupid money, so looks like I'm keeping it.

It's sad to see all ek9 owners racing towards the lowest price, any one selling up at the moment can't complain, you brought it on yourself....bad times

If your buying in Ireland be very very carefull now , cars have gone through so many hands that many are not looked after / crashed repaired etc etc , its VERY rare to see a genuine Honda that has been looked after well since it was brought into the country and previously in Japan.

X2
while there are loads selling for very low prices, there are alot of poor condtion cars because of them being passed through so many owners.
so as said, you'll have to sift through alot of crap before finding somthing genuine.

Seems a bit of a gamble, but no doubt there will be a few good ones out there. Just need to look at Gav's EK9 - Jammy **** lol

yes there goin awful cheap lately but imo there not as well looked after compered to the hondas in the uk....alot of them are very rough and not very well looked after!!

Picked up mine from Northern Ireland for £3300, solely with the intent to break it/sell it on for some profit. Bottom line is I couldn't justify breaking or selling, it's in great condition! Needs some TLC and the baffles in the 5zigen disintegrated on the way home and it,s got a few chips and that on the body work, but other than that, sweet as a nut!

Just got to be the economy. If you can avoid selling, DO. Hopefully summer will get the prices creeping up
