DC5 vrs EK9

alright lads,

today my cousin bought a dc5 integra type r, so which one is quicker lol dc5 or ek9?!?!

i got a run in the 5 and it didn't excite me too much to be honest. i act thought the build quality wasn't too good.

DC5's are really nice. One of the guys in my club has one. They go pretty well. But if I'm being honest, the vtec does'nt seem to hit you as hard as it does in the b series engines. Its more linear in the k series if you know what I mean.
 
yea thats wat i thought too, seems like my ek9 is more vicious when it hits 6000rpm unlike the big 2l engine
 
From that ive read the Integras on a 98' the 0-60 dash is done in 6.5 and the EK9 as we all know is reportedly 5.7 i dare say the top end on the Integra would see the Ek9 in the mirror???
 
i dont know which is faster stock but with i/h/e/chip the dc5 should be faster, but who cares, ek9 ftw!!!!
 
i could of bought a dc5 but to me the ek9 is a better allround car...the handling of the ek9 is in a different league to a dc5
 
Obviously the dc5 is faster than the ek9, engine displacement and hp, but the ek9 is fun car to drive and i prefer it over the dc5

had a choice of the ep3, jdm ep3, dc5 dc2 and the ek9.
before i purchased, i drove all of them.. i ended with the 9, as it was the best for myself.
all of them are great cars in their own way.
however the 9 handling and power delivery won me over
 
Bottom line is the ek9 has more potential in every type of racing.
