Hi everyone,

I'm a noob to ek9's and don't really no to much about them apart from they have a b16 lol.
I have owned a 98spec jdm dc2 for about two years and I can honestly say it's the best car I have owned yet. At the moment I'm thinking about making it a pure track car and taking it off the road.
In it's place I'm toying with the idea of getting an ek9 as my daily driver.

What you guys think?

Regards
Jim

if i were u id get some sort of cheap diesel or 1.2 petrol as there not the easiest run all the time

Nah I'm not interested in a sensible daily driver. I'm a vtec man at heart so deffo 100% have to be vtec. I'm not interested in a ep or fn so have come to the conclusion that an ek is the only way forward lol.

welcome to the site man, good time to get a 9 as the prices have dropped recently same as the dc2's and there are some minters about. Good luck on your decision mate if you go for a 9 you wont regret it ;)

welcome mate, the ek9 is a good fun car to have as a daily, best of luck with the search

ek9 will feel abit gutless buddy, u have to revs the knackers of them to get anywhere

Dc2 and a ek9 as a daily i like the way your going :D :p good look with your search!

:welcome: I had A UKDM ITR DC2 for a good couple of years and only really used that as my weekend/track car.

But I do find my EK9 better suited as an everyday car, and I wished that I used my DC2 more... I just find it really rewarding having to work to EK9, and it just begs to be revved :nice:

Both equally good cars, and 100% will put a smile on your face, and I've never looked back.

Welcome bud.

I have my dc2 as a weekend/track toy now. My dream is to get an s2000 as a daily as they are so cheap now!! But i am stuck with a 325 BMW with 200,000 miles on the clock lolz. Have you thought about an s2000 as a daily? Very cheap now!

would do my head in a little driving my ek9 every day, and it's not stripped out etc. I have a 206 estate to run around in 2-3 days a week, then the 9 rest of the time, happy days :)

go for it mate u will fall in love with a 9 as ur daily lots of fun and means u can work on the dc2 for a track toy its a win win
