hi

im looking to get another honda after selling my ek9 a year ago, i want an integra but i cant make up my mind which gen to get? dc2 or dc5? iv had a jdm dc2 before and really missed it even when i had the ek9,

any suggestions on which one and any pics of cool ones?

need help :please:

for trackdays and fun dc2 all day long but if its for looks and a more grown up car you want then dc5

Totally different cars man, its all down to what you prefer to be honest. I bought a good spec dc5, had it for not even a month and sold it to get another ek9 again. Because i'm so used to the weight/handling etc of the ek9 chassis the dc5 felt very big and heavy. Dont get me wrong there great cars just wasnt my cup of tea. I'd say try get a test drive in a dc5 and see how it compares to your dc2 and go from there. If its a raw fun car you can throw about and have a laugh your after i'd say dc2 but if its more of a comfy daily driver you want that also is quick and handles well then dc5. Just my opinion though.... ;)

cheers for that gav, yeah good idea iv never drove a dc5 but it would be worth checking one out before rushing into it because i do prefer lighter more responsive setups, tbh i want more of a track setup so a dc2 would probs be best suited for me and i loved my dc2 and wish i never sold it, i was dissapointed with the ek9 i bought, bad example of one really and missed the torgue b18 lump too, must say though the ek9 handled real well even on standard chassis :nice:

:thanks:

As said by gav test drive the dc5 and see what you think compared to the dc2, tbh i would get a dc5 because there more modern but that's just my decision. :)

if its more of a track focused car your after, dc2 hands down ;)

my opinion
take the dc2 it's nice classic car
the dc5 is good but it doesn't have the same charisma as the dc2 just like the es chassis on the ek chassis
I don't know how much is a dc2 in usa but in canada they keep their value longer than the dc5

it's up to you!

I love both. Dc2 are awesome cars and the crossover on a B series is outstanding. If it was me tho, id be going for a dc5. They look modern, and theyre a K series. I love b series and ive had a few but imo i needed to move with the times. I couldnt justify paying thousands of pounds for little gains from a b series. So much more BHP can be made from K series with bolt on mods and a k-pro. Thats just my opinion, i say this and i know i will own a dc2 someday as they are an awesome car, but if i had the choice id probably go for the 5.

nice point!
for me the thing is I prefer old cars sometimes because I feel like I'm the part of the car not a dead weight like the newest ones
I mean by this that you are the part that give life to the car and you feel everything from it
the new car is so electronic than you feel like you playing on a arcade game or worst sometimes a play station you feel almost nothing everything is calculated and the car thinks for you or correct your driving mistakes wich give you a false impression to be a good driver
it's sterile
so that's why I prefer the dc2!
still up to you!

Aw come on, the dc5 is only a few years younger. Its not all electronic etc. Its just a modern version of a dc2. I still think its a great drivers car. Theres no shitty traction control or anything like that and doesnt correct your driving. Maybe in a new GTR but not a dc5.

I know
to me it feels like it
I know there's no traction control on it but my point was I prefer old school because I feel closer to a mechanic thing

I know some very quick track DC5. As standard car I think because of the weight they don't do so well, but modified in the right way you can have a flier.
Test drive one and see what you think.
