So I went home for the weekend and my dad let me share his DC2 for the trackday/weekend since I have sold my beloved Y56 EK4 SiR :(. Pic of the old SiR and my current daily ek3:



I have been on the hunt for a DC2 in Japan for a month or two now and it's a lot tougher than you would expect to find the correct car, but after bidding/losing out on 5 it was the 6th one I have got, I managed to get it from a private auction house but wanted the car that much I ended up buying it before it went to the auction. Little teaser pic:



And using both my dads DC2's always made me want one, they feel so raw and I love the B18's torque over the B16, although my dads is very well setup. First time driving it on track on Sunday and I absolutely love them, just can't wait for mine to arrive from Japan :angry:.

This DC2 is incredibly capable on track but the day was ended quite early due to the crap 262's catching fire and spitting flames up the side of the car when I parked up in the pits, brown trouser moment and a lot of cool down driving was done, 282's for it next!

Congratulations on your purchase man. Can't believe you sold the sir that was amazing condition. How much did you get for it? Whens the dc2 due for touch down? What site did you buy it of. I am after a ek9/eg from japan as they always come with some super rare expensive mods?

Thanks mate, And I know I wasn't really planning on selling it, just kind of happened, My move to the mainland kinda aimed me towards it and then I got the itch quite quickly again. Always need an import DOHC around me now lol. I made what I wanted out of it, but still not enough to cover my DC2, by a bit lol. I used jm-imports here in Newcastle, Jurgen is a great guy to deal with, although they mostly bring in the GTR's etc.. and your right they do! Mine has a few nice mugen goodies.

Thanks guys, Yeh the B18C is an awesome engine indeed, and minus the NSX the DC2 is my favorite R platform, natural progression should have been a 9 but I don't think it would have been much of an upgrade for me over my SiR, it had a great spec.

Good to see your back in a honda buddy

I bought the ek4 lads and for a good price too. Still as clean but has undergone a few changes :)
 
Cheers guys! Should be getting some pics of my car at the docks in the next few days. It has a few mugen parts, so ended up buying a mugen 2way LSD for it to continue the theme a little and always wanting one, they don't come up often and this one has sat in the box for the last 10 years and used one race, couldn't resist, have other bits and pieces too :nice:.

And my dads teg didn't have much bother with the new focus RS and impreza's that day out, great going car! Nearing 100k miles and made 212bhp, although this doesn't mean much it's a real healthy engine!

1998, 112K Km's, No ABS or airbag's which I was looking for and is rare in a 1998 as there both standard equipment as far as I know. This is the 6th car I tried to get and it's my favorite of them all, I found my budget edging up every time I lost an auction and found this at a private auction, I wanted it so much we worked out a deal before it made it to auction.

Mugen Twinloop catback
Mugen gauge bezel
Mugen 5way adj. suspension
Honda Access/Optional rear spats and side skirts.

I've collected some parts too:
New J's decat and ETD
Mugen 2way LSD
Spoon plug leads

Cannot wait to get it even though it won't see a lot miles, will update with better pics after it gets here.

I'm excited :clap:
 
Epic dc2 lad, love all the mugen goodies, gonna have to get a few photos of it and my ek9 when it's done since we both have mf10's :)
 
Niiiice!

I picked up a dc2 last month - The gearbox from my crx (with mugen 2 way diff) will be going in my teg too :)
 
:eek: this is soo sweet. Love the mugen wing and mf10s. Importing a car is so exciting, you're making me want to bring another in!
 
Awesome mate! Those rear spats just complete the look IMO, quite rare to see as well. I think with all the Mugen gear on this there's no argument at all for not fitting that diff lol!
 
That looks brilliant, keep her as clean as your SiR and you are golden!

Are you going to drive her in winter?
