Description:OEM Honda EK9 gearbox been on my car since I got it now at 960000 miles no crunches or whines perhaps not as smooth as my new box but nothing drastic only issue I had was 1st and reverse are occasionally difficult to select(new box does this too, so might be common fault or something else with my car) I was going to add the above final drive but have sourced a new box with one fitted and a Kaaz diff.

VSS not included but OEM speedo drive will be reverse sensor switch will be included (not shown)

Please excuse the oil that was spilt on it (its not a leak) around the VSS hole other than that the box is quite clean.

Will fd bolt straight into the s4c box?
Or will it need first gear/collar changing?

Interested..

Hi Jake will need the first gear and collar. There is a thread which lists the OEM part numbers somewhere but can't find it on my phone ATM. Will get you the details if you like.

Think you better amend your 2nd item description to 'gearbox' instead of countershaft and ring gear - copy and paste fail :)

Cheers ray that's what happens when I type things at midnight. :p amended.

BUMP M factory shifter and Minimoto added really need to clear stuff out now.

Make me an offer on anything, pop down have a chat, PM me for anything you want to know, I'm a nice guy really :)

Cheers Sam can't wait to give your old box a good testing at Brands soon.

EK9 gearbox provisionally sold to ek9beauly just to show im hiding nothing we have disscussed milage is at 96000miles 1st and Reverse were occasionally difficult to engadge, and when idling in netural you can hear it whirr but it sounds no different to my friends teg or my current box.

Sounds no different to my box either as I've heard it,
Can vouch for Matt, he's an overly honest guy to the point where he loses out sometimes.

The noise on idle is probs the clutch release bearing. So nothing to do with the box or internals :)

Ah nice one Danny Clutch is on my list with flywheel but I couldnt be sure so Id rarther mention it and be wrong :) Thanks

If it was the clutch release bearing then it would only whirr when holding down the clutch. Recived the gearbox yesterday looking forward to getting it fitted.

Awesome good news glad it arrived ok. Was about to PM you actually :)

Finaly got the gearbox fitted and it is actualy pretty loud whiir noise theres defo a bearing gone inside, it cost me 250 to get it fitted too.
