I'm hoping to buy another Honda but instead of using it for getting to work or using it daily i was wanting to use it as a 2nd car. Getting used at night time, weekend and meets etc. What i want to know is if you have a policy with your daily car and it covers you for use with any other vehicle, does that mean that i wouldn't need a completely new policy for the 2nd car and would be insured through my other policy?

Hoping this is no a daft question lol

Ye if it on your policy you can drive other cars you would be insured on the other car as 3rd party i think
But if you wana be certain try admiral multi car!

no mate, that 3rd party cover on one policy only covers another vehicle if that vehicle also has its own isnurance - doesnt have to be you but has to have insuance on it if that makes sense,

As i explored all this as I run two cars, in the end was cheaper to take out another policy with Sky as they mirrored by no claims.

as hatchet21 said, the car still needs it's own insurance policy. I also have a 2nd car insured with sky and mirrored NCB, unsure whether it actually makes a difference to the price though.

No, absolutely not. If this was the case everyone would buy and insure a £500 1.0L car and then drive an impreza.
