D16Y8 Building HELP

So i have a 97 Civic Coupe, D16Y8 and i really dont want to do a swap, id rather use the money to build up the current motor, i already have DC heads, Skunk2 Intake Manifold, and Fuel Rail, and Cold Air Intake, but the motor is weak :drive: so im getting ready to rip everything apart and build up the internals but i need some more information see if anyone else has done this before any information would be a great help, and any other parts or websites, thanks alot. :nerv:
 
Is boosting it a option? this would be the most effective way of getting most power for your money
 
i thought of boosting it, but because i have never really done that, i thought i would just go with pistons rods, port and polish, all that good stuff, run it alittle bit to get use to the power, then boost it, and strip some weight off the car,

currently

99 Civic coupe
Skunk2 Exhaust Manifold
Skunk2 Catback
DC Sport Headers
Ijen cold Air intake
some cheap fuel rail, - needs to be replaced.
JDM grill,
JDM yellow fog lights
JDM Headlights - Yellow 5000k bulbs
typeR type Front lip,

Thanks it thou for now, im looking at a few strut bars and braces, i dont really wanna lower it because of the speed bumps in my area.

but im just looking for websites and stats on anyone that might have information on building a D16y8.

Building a D is a waste of money. I would save up and just buy a B.
 
why does everyone want to build the B motors ya i understand they are "better" but doesnt anyone wanna be different. any helo? any DIY's i could do to make my car sexier :please::please::thanks::pics::pics::please::thanks:
