Hey did anyone go? I decided against it since the weather is crazy in scotland just now!!:( snow, rain, sleet, wind, everything! so frustrating.

Aye i went! met Haribo and John, good day, i really need to practice my starts though.

was having real trouble early on getting grip, even later wen it was drying up was still spinning. Had a good day though!

Cool mate, cant believe people still went! I was in alva last night meeting accessory zone (Alan) very sound guy and knows his stuff! And the weather ther was crazy! I thought there is no way crail would be any good but it must have dried up big style!
Wot times did you, John and Haribo get?

Yeah it was nice meeting you Dunsy !! - Loving the cusco cage :nice:

The weather was really bad with a super strong cross wind, I was running a donor set of Toyo Proxy T1-R as my 888s were below the legal limit. Im gonna leave myself open to digs from many people that swear by these tyres however they just are no use what so ever for my set-up !! - I had absolutly no grip what so ever with these which eventualy led me to reduce the pressure to a sidewall folding 15 psi !!! Still no use, best 60ft was a 2.48 !! - However running at such low psi on these tyres also created alot of drag up the strip limiting my top speed to around 104 mph. In the end I managed a few high 13s, 13.8 @ 104 mph being the fastest.

Gotta find me some 888s or BFG T/A's !!!!

Cheers, Andy :nice:

I've said all along Toyo T1-R are awful, they're an ok budget tyre but that's it.

13.8 is still respectable though mate, especially in bad conditions!

haribo im running the hankook RS2s on the teg and i think there amazing!never ran 888 tho so cnt compair but amazing grip on the rs2s also good in the wet, alot of peeps rave bout these tyres on the dc2 forum,

never made it up to crail the day,but will have to get somthing sorted soon,

How ace was the weather yesterday huh . oh dear totally shockin although i still manage to run a 14.6 @ 94.9 MPH . Not bad considerin the conditions .

was good meeting both of you!

i ran a very poor 15.3 @ 95.3, got these Toyo proxes t1-rs aswell and dont rate them at all! new tyres for next time i think!

Although my best reaction time was 0.018...haha!

i was running yokohama prada spec 2 at 20 psi due to the weather conditions . although once i dried up running at 20 psi made me have alot of drag up through 2nd n 3rd gear making my top speed down a bit

14.6 was a great time for the weather conditions mate !! - Those cheeky wee mods and weight reduction have defo done the job huh !!! :nice: - Roll on the next crail, hopefully we can get some good sunny weather and no wind !! :D

Cheers - Andy

:secret:

i was impressed anyway . roll on a decent weather for next time :nice:

on the T1-R issue i have found from a few mates who have had small cars that weigh around the 1ton mark that they are no use but on bigger cars like scoobs evos and 200sx's they have been awesome

also haribo BFG T/A's?? What tyre is this is it road legal ? have you thought about using dunlops also parada spec 2's have an extremely good write up on small cars
