i got my radiator changed along with the hoses...i started up the car and its in bad now and the engine gets hot...now my tempuature gauge on tha dash isnt workin and it was b4 the radiator was changed...can anyone tell me what the situation is?????????
 
make sure you have enough water, after the first heat cycle you need to add more water because a lot of the water goes into the block when the thermostat opens which leaves the radiator low on coolant.

the thermostat must not be workin cuz my gauge isnt moving at all and i let it run with the rad cap off for 20min and it got hot..i touched the top hose and it was really hot,the bottom was warm..altogether the engine was really hot when i shut it down..so i add how much water to the rad?
