Kinda new to this forum and looking for a bit of help! Tried the search button but couldnt find what I was looking for.

Anyone able to explain whats all involved to convert a ek9's speedo to read in mph properly and roughly how much it costs? Can you do it to a car thats not a fresh import,i.e work out the exact mileage and adjust to suit?

Cheers in advance!

You can buy a converter or if your planning on modding the car then wait till you get a ecu hondata convert them over pal

When you say hondata converts it,do you mean through the electronics the clocks are then driven as mph? Do you know how hard it is to fit the converter?

Its not hard if you have done 1 be4 its like 3 wires get on to jimbob ek9 think he has got 2 for sale matey n im sure he will tell you how to :nice:

Cheers Lee S

Would be good to keep it original but just for convenience

It says it starts to read the mileage in miles once fitted....say the car has 110k kms and i think that works out at about 68k miles, how would you get the clocks to start reading from the 68k miles?

Yeah I have a few hear if your after one??? £25 delivered!
Really easy to fit & I'll draw you a diagram of the wires you need to splice!

You would have to take it to a specialist to do it properly, u can do it yourself but run the risk of the numbers not lining up properly after!

Best/cheepest way is to just document (photo) of the KM's on your car & then it's just miles there after!

Wont pass mot..

Pretty Sure that is not the case.

If the car is 10+ years old or pre 2000 then the Speedometer does not need converted :nice:

Never had any problem with MOT's with mine

What the limiter be removed if I map a p28? Or is this just for an hondata mapping?
