Compound charging?

I once saw a JDM ITR DC2 that was compound charged, i.e had both a turbo and supercharger. Has anybody ever tried this on a B16?

too much heat generated! far mor efficient to use a suitably sized turbo or just a big one for top-end grunt

People have done it before but due to the commercially available B series superchargers not having aftercooling, its pretty pointless.

its more for show than anything else, if its a JRSC supercharger what ends up happening is the supercharger becomes a restriction as the boost from the turbo tries to move past it and you will actually sacrifice top end performance. a properly sized turbo is best.
