last month a blew my b16a block, it dropped a valve a slightly scored the cylinder walls taking my nice type r head and spoon pistons with it, its lying there now as i have a spare engine so its now time to get finger out and rebuild... time is no prob but i want to do it right,some things i need
1) daily driver, actually bout 600km per week so has to be reliable
2) regular track use (6 times per year)
3) needs to have stock idle
4) have to put this block back as for oem engine number so long block is out.
i was thinking alone the lines of 1.8 l toda stroker kit and jun iii cams with the approiate kit, power fc, now the gains i want even though mostly track use is high end, not to bother'd with thorque. whp is goal. does anyone suggest kits, is it worth my time going 1.8L on short block, like will it cause reliabilitly problems with increased rev limit ie block twisting? if 1.8L is the way to go which kit? and price? i have approw 6k euro for complete conversion but this must also include clutch etc, labour not included....
so what i have at the moment to work with:
ek9 cams springs retainers (should i use these?)
b16a engine (block needs to be milled)
ek9 inlet manifold
ek9 injectors
any help would be of geat help, ps my goal is as high as possible whp at apporx 82-8500 rpm...
