Coilovers - Suggestions

True that! I have just spent £800 on brakes and £800 on light wheels so does make sense!

AST do some mean suspension, as far as I'm aware they don't have a set for EK9's? I spoke to someone when i was at Powerstation from AST about 6months ago and they said they don't offer them for the EK :(

However on a smaller budget im currently using MiesterR Zeta R's with 10-8 Springs, they are good but for track use id say they need harder springs, looking to change mine to 14-12 until i can afford some higher end suspension, However if you don't already own them you can order them with your own choice on spring rates on :)

Have hks ones in mine there good very good handling, nice ride too, had tein superstreets in my ek4 sir and loved them they were great, had cusco in my last levin and they were great and my levin before that I had teins again, have ta say I liked all them alot.
I'd reccomend cusco if ya could get a set or hks, but best for money prob bc I hear great stuff from my friends bout them

Jerrick admits you tend to be at the maximum of the dampers ability to control the springs with rates much higher than those offered though.

hi mate dont go near d2 coilover stuff!!!

iv had 2 sets of coilovers from them and after only bout 5k to 6k they started to leak the oil out. was very dissapointed with them mate.

The only real reason D2's are on there is that i had a brand new set before and i hear they have upgraded them. I liked them on my old civic and couldn't understand the bad press!

me either. both my brothers have had them on there civics and tegs and they are brilliant coilovers for the money, they never had any problems with them and the always proformed very well on track and road. since one of them has got a 9 now he's running buddyclub race spec as well.

Don't bother, just learn to get the 9 sideways at 60mph+ instead this is free and more fun than coilovers!

From when it gets a touch tighter until nailing it through the chicane like a hero lol!
