Alright lads,

im looking at maybe getting an upgrade clutch and flywheel for road/street use not sure what im looking for though

i have the basic mods done, 421 manifold, decat, catback n1 and spoon filter, soon to have cold air.

what should i be looking at and will there be very noticable benefits??
how much would i be looking at?

seen exedy and fidanza kits for about $300 on ebay, this ok?

thanks lads,

i have recently installed an exedy fly and kaiten 4kg flywheel... the only real difference to me is the revs drop and go up a little quicker. This will benefit you if you use the 'heel and toe'/ rev match.

Some have opted for the AP clutch, as myself & others have juddering issues with the Exedy clutch at low speeds in 1st, 2nd & sometimes 3rd. Those using the AP havnt mentioned any problems. Check this teg thread

itr-dc2.com -> transmission/clutch -> new exedy clutch fitted... need advise...

^Agreed, but if the car is on a higher mileage like most imports (60/70k), and your changing other parts, might as well change it to save on labour later, mine was totally worn @ 74k. I think Denward is also doing FD etc?

oh i understand, if the trans is comming out for FD install and the current clutch has 50k+ miles on it i certainly would change the clutch :nice: exedy racing stage II should be excellent but my be to harsh for street use, so the exedy racing stage 1 should be great for street use.

Itr clutch? What weight Fidanza? What are you saying exactly? As for the Exedy stage 1, if I could do it again I would try the AP or other to avoid the juddering issues.

i would advise against fidanza, the last few flywheels ive seen from them had A LOT of problems... clutchmasters is a great alternative.

i fitted the Excedy stage II & 10lbs fly... clutch seems too hardcore for daily driver... horrible in traffic! :(

however excelent pull on open road/track! :nice:

itr=integra type r taught that was fairly simple. as for the fly weight thats personal prefrance so i wouldnt tell anybody what to get.

i've heard exedy a fairly week and not to many tuners in ireland at least recommend them. a few people over here use the orc but i think its a tad to extreme for a fwd na 1.6/1.8 other tuners recommened the ats carbonic clutch which is very light while retaing driveability but for now i'll stick with my itr(integra type r) clutch
