I have just today bought a 2000 ej9.it has been fine then the clutch started clicking when I press it in.it's only a brief click when i press and doesn't click when I release the pedal.is it nothing to worry about?
Cheers ben

I had this same problem. All you have to do is get under your clutch pedal with a flashlight (torch for you blokes :D). As you push the clutch pedal down, you should see a plastic piece that's causing the click. Make sure that piece is sitting properly, lube it up, and your set. WD-40 should work. It's been a couple years, so I'm going from memory.

I had that once. Its never happened since.
Thanks for the Tip Sarah...

I had a look around the pedals and cudnt see any plastic. And cudnt really see what could be clicking.I sprayed the area with wd40 which worked for about half an hour then it started clicking again. It's weird because it doesn't click at every gear change maybe one in five changes. Any ideas?
Cheers ben

Okay. Here's a picture of the GREASE points for the clutch pedal. It looks like it is the ASSIST SPRING that needs the lubrication. I'm not sure why I thought plastic?!? Maybe the spring sits on something plastic. I dunno. It's been about 10 years since I had this problem. :p
