Hey Hey,
I'm about to build a custom exhaust manifold and exhaust for my car and to run it I bought a socketed P28, basemap chip and conversion harness from a Honda-tech vendor.
The car was on a rolling road yesterday with the stock ecu and made good power there are no problems at all.
This morning I tried the chipped Ecu and straight away the CEL light came on. I drove the car a couple of miles until it has warmed up and everything seemed fine in fact it idled better than the stock ecu. Once it had warmed up I found that V-tec will not engage.
I came home and chaged back to the stock ecu and everything was fine, No CEL and V-tec engages fine.
I am going to email the vendor but does anyone have any ideas.
I am going to continuity test the adaptor harness and then check the fault code.

Couls someone tell me where the diagnostic plug is located please. 97 EK4.

Thanks for any help

Lee
