I dont know if this topic has allready gone trought this forum, but today I have just chipped my old JDM OBD1 P30 ecu, and removed my OBD2 ecu and installed the Chipped P30.

When I start the car, the "Check engine" light go's off, and comes back on after 3 seconds like that, and stay's on.

I have a JDM B16B swapped into my JDM EG6.

The chip itself is working fine, no problems at all with the engine or so. Everything seems to be working fine, only the Check engine light is there.

Anyone knows what to do, or is there a way to solve this problem?

Thank you

Bridge the service connector and check the fault code. Could be vtec oil pressure switch. Search for this and you will see how to bypass it as it has been covered numerous times.

In the past I did bridge 2 pin on the ecu, in order for my VTEC to kick in when I first swapped this B16B into my EG6 and running it on my OBD1 ecu.

I tought with the chipping I wont need the bridging as the chip controls the readings. When I saw the check engine light steady yesterday, I tought maybe the pins needed to be bridge again, and I did so. This made the engine idle @ 500 RPM, normal it idles @950 and the light remains on.

When I use the OBD2 ecu, there is no check engine light.
