This day and age everyone is after a cheap run around either to keep the pride and joy at home or just to cut down on exspenses for me its both.

I was thinking of buying a nice cheap corrolla 94-97 but what do you think is the best value for money runaround taking into account reliability and economy.

I got a 106 quicksilver for over winter they look as good as a Gti but only 1.4 so cheap on fuel and insurance

I'm selling my run about the the moment. It's a VW polo. It's a 1.4 16v. But I get on average 45mpg and it's only £200 a year to insecure. It's also only about £70 to tax for 6 months. They are a great idea and cheaper car to have.

A little miata ha. cool run around whats it like mpg. got it at a great price too. an old fashioned toyota cant beat for reliability

corsa, 106, saxo, micra, punto. Anything small with a low tax and insurance group. Currently got a punto and its cheap to insure (after alot of ballache) and it runs on the smell of petrol! :win:

Ive got a caddy tdi as a daily. Just picked up a 1.0 106 which would do somebody here perfect

ive got a peugeot partner 1.9 diesel non turbo .......... great for carting engines / car parts about .... get average 50mpg, sometimes more depending how driven

had it for 3 years .... bought it for £700 :nice:

We had a '93 Corolla 1.3 GLi. Handled like a boat but was utterly reliable. Bought for £300, sold it 2 years later for £200 with long MOT and tax.

ive had a civic 1.5 VEI (Vtec Economy Injection) and its a great little car, does around 45mpg depending how its driven and picked it up for 600 quid in great condition

golfs are good solid cars mate and the diesels can get up to 55mpg which is great, i have always had a clio as a second car
