Hello guys and gals of EK9.org, my name is Jake. Caught wind of this forum from a friend and figured i'd give it a shot. Well i'm located in central Wisconsin, roughly 35 minutes away from my home circuit, Road America.
I started racing cars back in 2005 shortly after graduating high school, started working as a Correctional Officer for the State of Wisconsin and then purchased my EP3. Autocross was the beginning for me, and it has helped me greatly throughout the years.
Here is the picture as well as a video i edited a few years ago, hope you enjoy it.

Shortly after i started autocrossing i was invited to an event put together by a group of local track rats like myself known as WMHM (West Michigan Honda Meet). I became good friends with everyone at the event and became more involved with the event over the last couple of years. In fact i've only missed one event since i started attending. And that was because i had sold my EP3 to a friend and didn't have a car to take to the event. Well none worthwhile.
Here was how the EP3 looked when i sold it.
Miss that car greatly! However i moved on to a new project, and that project is my 1999 Honda Civic Si race car. I purchased this EM1 off a good friend who owned and raced it for many years. The car was no longer eligible to race in National SCCA Showroom Stock C, so she decided to move on. The car was prepped for Showroom Stock C class right off the showroom floor, in fact the chassis still only has a little over 50,000 miles on it. The motor has roughly 25,000 miles on it and it's still running strong. Here was the car when i purchased it from her.
I have began prepping the chassis for NASA Honda Challenge H2, it's been a slow and daunting transformation. The years of racing has not been kind to the chassis, and required much attention to get it back to where it is now. I have poured countless hours into getting the car where it currently sits. And aside from some weight reduction and a few engine modifications the car is just about ready. I think it'll make it's debut in 2014, i should have a working budget by then.
Here is how the car is currently sitting.
Lately i have been wanting to make a transfer from working in the prison systems to playing a more integral role on a racing team. This year was the start of that, as crew member on LoveFab Racing's Pikes Peak International Hill Climb program. I'll tell you this was one of the most challenging, yet rewarding weeks i have ever experienced in life! I'll do a full right up on this another time!
Here are a couple pictures from that weekend! I'm the guy on the far right with the yellow sleeves.
