Hey ya'll!

I've been looking at replacing my gear oil and have come across this stuff that I can get hold of for free from my work.

I'm running a Cusco plated diff and Cusco recommend 75W-85 but will this Castrol stuff suffice? work have told me it will but looking for some advice from you guys.

Thanks in advance

Danny

No that is usually used for differentials , way too thick for your gearbox to work when hot.

Stick to the 75w85

Get the stuff I am using and Steven is or was using it is what silverstone place recommends for the gearboxes with plated diffs!!!

Can't remember either name of oil or bleeding place to by it!!

I'll be right back!

It's very good stuff!

Oh,

I've been searching online for other 75-140's and they say it's fine for
Manual gearbox's and the like?

Lol that was a frantic response Ian :)

Trouble is, I'm wanting to do it this weekend and that castrol stuff is readily available from work. I don't know whether to just try it for a bit or not...

Right

"Mardi gras, 76 performance synchro 80..... I would give motul 300v LS a try though, got it in mine now and its awesome"

Cheers Ian. I think I'll not bother with the castrol stuff then. Just looked at the motul on opie and it's even more expensive than cusco! Didn't think that was possible haha

I'm using the syncro 80 on road and Ring with no complaints. Mardi Graz are a quick turn around. ;-)

Mardi gras are a race team based at silverstone race circuit. They also
Stock a lot of parts.

I'll swing by on Friday Ian and get myself some of thy stuff you used :)

Might give this stuff a crack, i have an ATS plated and using KAZZ fluid at the mo.
