I took my manifold to work today to clean it up but got to looking tin the exit port and found that it was cracked...

If I cut out the center section will the manifold dtill work or is it just a paper weight now

it would probably still work though it would change the flow characteristics of your manifold.

Might have to retune.

POISON TIME!!!...:D

why don't u take this opportunity to change the header...
TODA maybe?... 5ziegen?...

time to buy a new manifold! the stock one honda makes is cheap anyway. mine was cracked as well. just not at that part.

yep its defo a TURBO manifold, some of you guys must be looking at the pics with your eyes closed!!

common guys this is the forced induction area, thats a Greddy turbo manifold.

ok now about the manifold, i would NOT cut down the center section, its concept is similar to the twin scroll idea which is to say it helps boost come on sooner. From what it looks like that crack is only internal and should not cause any kind of boost leak or any leak for that matter. I would just put it on as is and go with it :nice:

Now i do know you are in the process of building a shortblock, i have said it before that Greddy kit is a bit small for what you have in mind. If you can sell it locally for a $1000, save up another $1500 and you can buy a nice AFI kit which is capable of much more power. But if you are happy with what the Greddy kit has to offer just put it on and rock and roll.

also it may be worth a shot to call greddy to see if they will cover it under warrenty?

I would but if you look at my build thread and all the money I have already spent... I kinda all out of money for a manifold right now

it was a misunderstanding, he was telling you to buy headers for NA cars, he did not realize you where boosted.

Thank you... I just don't want the crack to get any worse, break off and tare something up... The greddy kit is ok but I understand what you are saying about it not making that much power but that is due to greddy limiting its wastegate spring pressure... I called greddy and asked about another wastegate spring and they do have a 14psi spring but I am looking for more... un-decided on what to do about my turbo set up... money has run out

even with a stiffer spring, that turbo just cant flow what you need it to flow, even with the 14psi spring i am sure there is a way to run higher, i have seen people with greddy kits run as high as 22psi... maybe via use of an MBC?
