Hi there.. i'm new too the Forum as i want too buy and EK9, i have been speaking too a guy called Duncan from Crwaford cars, i hear he is a repected guy on the Forum.. What would you reccomend, i'm looking at a 98' spec 63k?

Duncan(Type r dunk) is the correct person to speak to as he has been importing cars for several years now.

I have a Duncan EK9, and it's immaculate. He was brilliant to deal with too, I would recommend him 100%. His aren't the cheapest around but they're certainly the best.

I dealt with another importer before Duncan called Z Motors and they were little more than scam merchants.

at the end of the day u pay for what u get. u do pay abit more from duncan but u get a top example

Yeah that's the kind of impression iv'e had! What spec did you buy off him?

That's weird you should say that, saw an EK9 from "z motors" it was a 97 and only done 37,000? Of course lol and he had it up for £6700 he has now dropped it too something like £5400, so was a bit like hmmmm? What you think?

i got a facelift of him 2 years ago. any help i need now i give him a call and he will always help me out. some other traders will not even bother helping u out

I bought a 2000 Rx, 64,000 miles and 1 owner in Japan for £7750 around 6 months ago. Very healthy car mechanically and body-work was mint apart from a slight scrape to the front splitter and one kerbed alloy. Had an RAC inspection done for peace of mind and to help sell the car later on and, apart from a couple very minor issues, it got a glowing review (and they spend 3 hours looking and poking!). I haven't had a single issue since.

Z Motors were rubbish, when they said they couldn't find the auction sheet for the car (even though it wasn't registered) I got suspicious, later they coughed up an auction report they had magically found when I told them I wasn't interested without it and the car was a low Grade 3. I also had doubts about the mileage.

You have a little stick immobiliser right? What does the button do near it? I've always wanted to know.

u have to hit the button in order to start the car

Do you mean the metal bit that you match the stick up to?

I just ran outside to have a look, the button I mean is left of the wing mirror controls. It might have nothing to do with the immobiliser, I just guessed it did because nothing happens in the car whatever I do to it.

yep thats the one. it might have been disabled when u got it

Nah I still need to do it (though I still stick my keys in the ignition straight away and forget everytime lol).

The button I meant is round and black and to the left of the immobiliser point and electric wing-mirror controls.

It's about as big as a 10p and has a small red light (which I've never seen glow) at the bottom.

I have duncan ek9 paid the same as championship white for same spec. Very healthy car! gearbox oil needed a change but other than that its a top notch example. You get what you pay for with dunc, would recomend him to anyone.

Regarding the button to the left of the immob, i assumed it was for a rear fog to get through M.O.T? my button doesn't work (as if its broken, doesn't stay clicked in one position if you get what i mean?) i tried following the wires when I installed my new headunit but swiftly got bored! hope someone could clear up the mysterious button!

Yeh, I thought that too, but I can't remember being told about it. Was probably too excited at the time :p

It's the far left one:

Cool, wher'd you get the new gear box from and what oil are you putting in the 9?
You got a facelift or pre-facelift?

YUp I personally know duncan.
He only imports top condition EK9s he doesn't touch anything shabby.

My old ek9 was originally imported by him and has looked after mine when i had it
