When I purchased my car there was wheel wobble at 70mph plus. Fitted new tyres and this disappeared. Now I have brake judder. Any causes?

I'd bleed your brakes properly first if that doesn't solve it then It would normally be warped discs

Will most likley be the discs, only cure will be new ones or have the olds skimmed.

Would be wise to replace pads also unless theyre fairly new.

They are rusty and don't feel smooth to touch. Grab marks on the front left disc from the pad it looks like

you've kinda answered you're own question as to brake judder. if there is build up and they are not smooth then this will be felt during braking.

The car has gone from doing small low speed journeys to now doing a 35 mile commute at 40-60mph. Would this extra use highlight knack erred discs and pads?

Just put a dial guage and check for runout. Twist the disc to other position and see how it goes with the dial gauge.

Also check the hub.
