Brake bleeding, what order?

Just wondered the correct order as most say furthest from master to closest but others say furthest then diagonal ,what is the Truth Ruth?

Was always told if the Master Cylinder runs dry,furthest away first,but normal bleeding go for the closest bleed nipple!

furthest ie back left then b.right then front left then f.right

What if you,ve emptied the system, when refilling should you do in reverse to feed fluid through gradually and then bleed it of as above to finish off or just go straight from farthest and pump it right through from there?

I dunno, i recall RA posting something about this a while back, something about tearing some diaphram if its done in that order, hopefully he will post...
