Braided Brake Lines - Are They A Worthwhile Upgrade?

Hey all, I was wondering if Braided Brake Lines were a worth while upgrade on the ek9?

as im getting the brake fluid changed when I get the car, so was wondering if it wasworth while changing to these aswell?

been told Goodridge ones as good ones to get? there about £50

also does any one know if ones for EK4 will be the same as EK9 ones?

EK4 and EK9 are the same.

As far as whether or not they are a good upgrade, they honestly don't do much for feel - at least not as much as many lead others to believe.

The stock honda hoses are quite good, however, the price of the goodridge lines aren't bad. For a car that's getting on to over a decade old (even the latest face-lifted EK9s) it's a good idea to replace the old brakelines regardless of actual mileage.

If you had a choice, I would get lines with a silicone jacket. I personally use the ones from Technafit and have been really happy with them.

+1 for Technafit. Just like bushing or exhaust changes, when doing routine maintenance/parts replacement you might as well upgrade.

When you get the braided lines, there are 2 for the front and 2 for the rear, compare to the stock hoses so you don't mix them up. After you install the fronts, turn the wheel each way to see if the hoses don't kink or twist too much.

i like my earl's SS brake lines they firm up the pedal a good bit and helped a lot on my application, but im on slicks all the time so i can actually use the stopping power effectively.
