This build has been going on for almost 4 years and it's really sad that's ended in this way but I need to get to get on with stuff so it's all getting broken.

Reason it has come to this is that it seems the piston to wall gap is more than it should be so is sucking up a lot of oil and burning it.

Only what's advertised below is what is for sale, you can ask me about other stuff but if it's not for sale it's either sold or not for sale.

Everything below has done 180 miles only unless stated. I bought almost everything brand new, and I paid a helluva lot more for stuff but hey :(
This is my build thread from 4guk. It's 120 pages long but most of the B20 build is from the middle onwards.

Just out of interested what is the piston to wall clearance?

0.0032" is what I was recommended.

Either that is too much or the p2w is not right.

I should really have it measured by a different machine shop.

Sounds abit loose for a cast piston, just from what I've read.
The wisecos in mine(81.5mm) are 0035" and that's a forged piston. Obviously a smaller piston than yours but I don't see the casts "growing" that much.
How about the break in procedure? Could just be the rings not worn properly from the wrong techniques used?

It wasn't broken in hard but by no way did it baby it either.

It's all in my build thread that I've posted, towards the end.

I just went by the figures Daz at DNR/Endless gave me as he was building the engine.

Yeah I have no experience to speak from so could well be wrong, but 0032" just sounds alittle large.

Irf, I am not going to point a finger at anyone, and I'm not mad with anyone.

These things do happen sometimes and you've just got to get on with it.

Right now the sensible thing for me was to sell up and start again with something else, I've had Hondas for 10 years now, and I've owned my ef9 for over 5 years now and now seems the right time to change. I will return to a Honda one day! maybe even an Ek9 but I fancy a break from them for a while.

I've probably spent over £20k on the ef9, il probably get half that back but it's been a helluva ride!!!

Fairplay Tahir, I've no doubt you'll sell everything. Top quality stuff, Sad to see you sell up, Been watching your build for years.
