ok so i went out this morning in the cold and turned on the car and the heaters to heat it up and defrost the windows. Came out half an hour later and the engine temperature was reading 106 degrees and the heaters were stil blowing cold air.
Can anyone tell me what they tink is wrong and what to d about it cos im freaking out
Thanks

Thermostat not opening up possibly? I could be wrong because im not sure on how they work but i'd imagine that would be a good place to start looking?

tehres a little valve down low on teh bulkhead near teh abs pump make sure this is working as if not you wont get no hot water flowing into your heater matrix

how do i make sure this is working?? that wudn explain why its overheating tho would it??

Had you anti-freeze coolant in there? If not I bet the water going into your heater matrix is frozen solid with this cold weather we have been having over the last few days.

if u had no coolant , water def froze in the car , so cud be waterpump damaged.

happened to friend last winter

if u had no coolant in ur motor it could be real bad.. did it sound ok when turning over????..ice destroys the insides of ur water pump etc..if its not pumping water round the system it will over heat..does sound like the weathers caused it..
