Hi ive been reading through a few of these pages and have seen that a lot of people say toyo t1r's loose feedback and not many seem to get on with them however they are using 15s is it the same with 16s i have nothing to compare with as my car came with these on. Ive also seen yoko ad08s recommend but these are not available.

So i guess this is my long winded way of saying which tyres would you recommend with your experience. Id say my driving would be fast road with some trackdays in the near future

Thanks in advance

Just thought id better check are my tyres even the correct size they are 16x7 this may be why im not finding many tyres

edit: ive had a search for 16x7 and have seen that the reason i hadnt seen many people on about 195/45 is because 205/45 is the better choice and ive had a search and in this size there are many more tyres available. Thanks anyways

there is plenty of good 16" tyres avaliable, you just got to pay for them. the T1R's are crap. have them on at the moment as they were on the car when i got it. Without a doubt one of the worst tyres i've ever used. But they are dirt cheap so cant complain as you get what you pay for.

Yeah im not impressed at all with them and i have used uniroyal before and have gotta say were pritty good but the side walls were very soft so thought they may have similar problem to t1rs on the civic. Wanted to try hankook rs2 but none available. Yoko ad08 are a little expensive at £110

ive used t1rs in the said size round nurburgring and they were brilliant. most people dont like them because of the soft side wall but when they are 45 profile there isnt much sidewall to collapse. id recommend them deffinatly. all the other 16" tyres ive tried are shocking hence why ive sold up to buy 15" wheels for the better variety of tyres and price

would you not be better going to a 205/45/16 or is there less of a choice with them . just thinking since its a 7" wide rim your using ???

Yes mate lots more choice on the 205 have just ordered 205/45r16 yoko ad08s am looking forward to them now and hop they will be as good as people say.

they should be unreal! Bit pricey though. main reason i want some good 15" track alloys as the tyres are so much cheaper!

Right ive fitted the ad08 tyres and these tyres are awsome theres so much more grip than before i will be highly recommending these.

Whats the exact rim size? I'd suggest you stick to the optimum tyre size to rim fitment or else it will just handle like ****.

Or are you one of those who like to have 195 width tyres stretch onto an 8" rim?

from my experience with AD08's i have in 195 / 55 / 15

one word

amazing

just amazing amount of grip and can safely say only tyre ill be buying for a long while, cost abit more but you really do get what you pay for

No im not a stretched tyre fan i have got the proper size for the rim now 205 the previous owner put the 195 on
