best coilovers ?

K's circuit/grams N1 had some brand new Spoon Showa N1's for around that price iirc. Surley they will be suitable lol.

Personally I would stay away from these if your going to use the car daily. Although they are fantastic quality suspension they are way to unforgiving for normal road use, I have a set in my DC2 with spring rates of 16k - 14k and I can seriously feel every small stone on the road even on the lowest setting.

For a track car yes, for one that will be used every day no.

Personally I would look into the Meister R ones as Kozy says, I was speaking to the Nitron guys at the Autosport show and they rate it highly for both a street driven car and track car.

I'm sure these were released a while ago?

Cusco Zero 1 is a good set if you can deal with the bumpy ride on the road :nice:

Some good options are AST sportlines , ohlins Dfv , Koni race combo , Intrax Rsa

Give Meister R a call about their new Nitron developed SRV units. :nice:

TBH I wouldn't go near themat the rrp. Only the pistons are changed and he wont release the damping graphs ... I enquired already.

That's the bit that matters though.

Pisser on the graphs, frankly people paying that much want to know what they are buying. :nono:

I have these on my 9 - Can get very bumpy on the crap roads with pot holes and speed bumps etc but fantastic on the motorway and bendy roads! :)

Just thought I saw this and I chime in on what is going on.
The reason there are no graph is because the SRV suspension isn't ready.
There are still a few issue regarding them that we are ironing out... so there is no point to release any data until the goods are ready.

So far now, the only offering from MeisterR is still the Zeta-S / Zeta-S SuperLow / Zeta-R, and soon a more track focus Zeta-R SuperRace for the Honda Civic EK9.

Sounds good, what differences are there with the zeta r super race for the ek??

The SRV units are ready because i bought the first set sold for a honda civic in September last year and they're excellent on the road. I haven't tried them on track yet though

So you sold me suspension that wasn't ready??

like i said not fussed about road as will mainly be on track.

was looking at groundcontrol/koni kit but it seems the konis wernt really made for coilover use.

so far between tein n1 - nitron - ohlins - intrax just need to know spring rates ill need, where to buy and which ones

Zeta-R SuperRace is Zeta-R with stiffer springs rate and damping rate.
The damping rate is about 30% stiffer on full stiffness, and this allow the use of stiffer springs rate and more damping adjustments available for track use.

So you sold me suspension that wasn't ready??

You have PM.
But it is a administration problem more than anything else, so no worry for you there.

If it is mainly for track use, I think the Zeta-R SuperRace could fit your need also.
Happy to provide your specified springs rate (we have them 2kg/mm apart up to 18kg/mm).

And they won't be crazy expensive, the RRP on the SuperRace will be £799 and EK9 members will get discount also. :)

Is it possible for people with zeta r suspension to have ther dampers and springs updated to your super race spec?

Not really possible as it is like buying a new suspensions.
If you change the springs and damper to the SuperRace specs, then all you have left from the "Zeta-R" is the top mounts, brackets, and collars.

The focus of the two suspensions are completely different.
Where Zeta-R are design to take uneven road surfaces into consideration, the SuperRace are just full on track suspension...

I wouldn't want to use the Zeta-R SuperRace on the road, as the springs rate will be hard and the damping will be quite stiff to support the hard springs rate.
What that mean is that the suspension will not be compliant over uneven road surfaces, leading to loss of traction.

I think that is what he is asking though, as upgrading should still be cheaper than buying a whole new package if you can re-use some of the Zeta-R hardware...

In this case, it doesn't...
Because you pretty much are changing everything.

Its like having an EK4 and want to change it to an EK9.
While the car is similar and you can reuse some bits, it will cost alot of change the EK4 into an EK9 as so much had to be change, that it would be cheaper to buy an EK9 with a warranty than to make the swap.

Pretty much the same applies here.
