Didnt ask him, but by the sounds of things he just builds engines for fun and sells them, without proberly ever knowing

Im still in 2 minds of buying them all.
hmmmmmm

whats wrong with your b16 mate?

Aww well, the reason i built it was basically to prove to a few people around my area with bigger cars etc that you dont need a big ass turbo'd £15k car to be quick. (astra VXR for some unknown example)
I proved it
I have now sold it
sadly.......
however £1400 i got and made a profit of - £280 lol
was fun to do and now i move onto the next project, Build a turbo car :)
i just love creating things

I know the D16Z6 and Y8 are oil burners, so I think I might go with a D15 actually....but I have no experience whatsoever with turbo'ing Honda's and also have no idea how a D16 would keep up.

Yeah, you dont see to many d15 turbo lol
Heard a couple of storys about weak standard rods but thats it

Anyone opinions on the High Comp engines? they are the only doubt, i mean their all renewed n stuff but i dont know

TBH you are probably best off asking this question on Honda-tech as many of them on there run D series turbo's some of them up to 700HP..

i doubt there are many members who run D series turbo's on EK9.org.. B series yes but i don't know of any D series turbos on here of the top of my head.. no offence meant by this dude..

lol if you buy them all you can tell us and be the forum Guru for D series turbo engines..

Hopefully the blocks have been notched for use with eagle rods? The backyard lads had a simple vitara piston and eagle rod build that made 500whp which showed you did not have to spend mega money to put out some impressive numbers, Im not normally a fan of dyno numbers but it also layed down **** loads of 10 second passes.

Before i would buy and engine like that i would like to see other ones that are driving if possible and get some sort of idea what power there making! They do seem priced very well and im sure you would have any trouble selling them on!!

I had a D15 turbo'd years back but melted the rings. I've now got a D16Y7 in my coupe producing 190whp at 8psi with 8.5:1 pistons, and i've had no issues with it using oil. Personally, i'd go for the bigger D16Y8 over any D14 or D15

Thats like asking how many grains of sand are there on the beach, its all going to depend on what you bolt to it. A tube mani with a gt35 will make a **** load more power than a log mani with a gt28 etc etc

well the others have been sold over seas so going to buy the D16A6
absoloute minter, especially for £1050
might try sell it on for a profit LOL
He says it will handle 500whp on stock sleeves :)
just need a big cam and some injectors
whats everyones thoughts????

Personally I'd rather a b18c over a d series turbo. B series turbo I'm all in favour of though
