b18c6 turbo questions

Can you get forged pistons and conrods for the teg engine and is so were ??
 
Correct me if im wrong but wouldn't you be a fool to turbo a B18C6? Better of forging a C4 dude and contact Racetech they will sort you out..
 
doesnt make him a fool just means less boost ?

But hes forging it so he would have to buy low comp pistons for a B18C6, its just like turboing a B16B theres no point better off selling the engine for £1200 and thatl fund a B18C4 and money towards a turbo kit (unless you buy an ebay special)
 
I know it sounds foolish but can you get them for that engine is my question and how would it be less boost if its forged you could run alot more boost in the c6
 
high compression vs low compression is what is being pointed out.
yes you can adjust as needed with custom pistons.
 
So is their no companys out their that do then you would hav to go custom ??
 
go c4 adam, they like boost in stock form, then if you want more power forge it! c4 engines are so cheap compared to the c6
 
I know mate its alot of hastle though having to sell the engine then find a half decent c4 so you run the risk of buying a lemon lol then if you want to forge it down the line
Could just get the the pistons n rods n other bits n bobs n book it in garage n get it all fitted
Plus got a better head on the c6 lol

interestinb thread, i myself am the same, much rather work on my c6 which i know how it runs.
 
Yes you can get low comp forged pistons and rods for the c6, check the link above or search for them. Would go for wiseco pistons mate

Actually mate the C4 head is better for boosted aplications due to the "quench pads" its has.

eagle rods are normally best suited/sold with wiesco pistons
 
Forged this forged that do you even know what this means without copy and pasting it from google wiki etc? This is like a thread from civiclife, proper bs, you should use the b18c4 head because it has quench pads, do you know what you gain from this or are you too copy and pasting from google or because your mate in the pub told you so? There is no reasoning behind any of these claims just Internet bs. Do some real research and testing then Come back with a real opinion. How can you comment on something that you know nothing about? The guy has not even mentioned a power level what turbo, boost level etc
