Does anyone know the torque settings for a b18c6 conrod bolts. Do I need to replace the bolts if used before? Engine was recently rebuilt but now I have to fit a different crank so fitting new crank, big ends, main bearings and thrust bearings just need to know the torque settings if anyone has them, Thanks.

You are meant to measure the sretch of the bolt but when I rebuilt mine I didnt have the tool.

I phoned Honda UK technical and they managed to fint me the settings,

If the bolts are M8 its 20nm + 90 degrees
M9 its 30nm + 90 degrees
My bolts were M9 but check yours

I have done mine like that and I have done 1000 miles and its fine.

Great mate thanks a lot, will my bolts be marked or will I need to check them up? Thanks

I measured them with a gauge I had

Thanks, anyone any idea of where I can get rod bolts as my mechanic has said I will need new ones as you have to replace them once taken apart again.? Cheers

I have a full set of brand new OEM ones

You won't need to replace the bolts unless someone over torque'd them. If you don't have a stretch gauge but do have a accurate torque wrench then torque them to 40nm.
