B18c (Ukdm type R engine) into a ek9(pre face lift)

hi
i am thinking of buying a ek9 and transplanting the engine from my ukdm integra type r and selling the b16 and stripping the teg for parts

just wondered what parts would be needed to get the ek9 running once the
b18 is in?would i need to change the loom?

also whats a b16 worth?

190bhp-193bhp 178Nm torque...

CAL is right! But he already has that... It should be a complete swap over.
 
would i be better using my ITR gearbox too?
sounds like quite a straight forward swap?
 
A UK Teg doesn't have a LSD (limited Silp Diff) where the EK9 should has an LSD as standard, therefore you will have better benifits in keeping the EK9 box just to allow more grip when cornering...

Unless your Teg had the upgrate and the orginial owner had the LSD installed, then taking the engine and box out will be straight forward then.
 
Yep uk dc2 teg type r do have lsd so put in that box as it's got the 4.75 final drive :nice:
