hi, looking to put an integra type r engine into my ek4!
how much am i looking at to do this? whats involved and needed?
how much would it cost for the actual swap of engines, by a performance garage?

u will need:

B18c-r block with complete intake & exhaust &
dizy
gearbox with cutch n fly
ecu and conversion harness maybe

If in england labour will be from 400-700GBPs, and the above parts probaly around 1700GBPs.
 
i live in wales! but will be traveling 2 england for the conversion! somewhere lik hond-r!

got quoted a hectic price dwn where i live for £4000-5000!

seems very steep to me lol

so looking for sumwhere else! if need be somewhere in england!

I did this swap myself about a month ago into my EK9 :)
All you need is as KAYNE said

B18c-r block with complete intake & exhaust & dizy
gearbox with cutch n fly
ecu and conversion harness

Its an easy swap and i would not pay any garage over £500 to do it or you would be getting ripped off!
 
just to update as may have given wrong information about jap performance garage by me (hyeline)

the quote was actualy £3500 ish

which was including a hand ported jdm b18cr engine and gearbox with lik 9000 miles on it:shocked:, and everything else for the conversion! :nice:
 
Im gonna do this swap myself too! - anyone good with ECU's? lol

My car is OBD2b - would you reccomend i go for a conversion to OBD1? Or keep it as OBD2 - im also scared incase i end up with a OBD2b B18c-r lol
 
Oh and do you need to wire anything else up?

I heard Crank sensor and VTEC is wired differently - is this true???
