Hi Guys

Im going to see an seller who has an rebuild b18c-r block.
I dont know the exact spec atm but im getting those as we speak.

the thing is, the block isnt in the car anymore, so i cant test it out.
I know the builder and thats a respected guy here in the Netherlands.
He owns a shop called Sneaky Tuning.

But i dont really know the seller so i dont really know how the block has been treated. Is there a way to check the engine condition?

I know that if you really want to check the condition of an engine you need to open it up but thats not an option.

Hope you can help me out

grtz

Its always a bit of a gamble when buying a engine mate. Like you said though he owns a shop and people know of his work. If it was me going off what you have said ide go for it. :)

K m8 tnx

well its not really a rebuild, only the bottom end has been touched.
He checked bearing clearence, bored and honed it and put new pistons + rings in it and it has drivin 16000km since

the head was untouched. Now i wonder if you can change the valvestem rubbers with the head on the bottom...im i correct about this? and how can i recognize the ITR cams while they are fitted?
