b18 airbox or J's racing??

I have a J's racing whales cock on my ctr but think its actually for a dc2! I have bin offered a swap for a b18 airbox. So basically.......which is better?

depends what you want really. J's had a really good noise off it and gives a noticable improvement over the stock intake. The ITR airbox with a spoon panel filter is meant to be the best for performance out of the two but it just doesnt look like much in my eyes. :))
 
DC2 airbox will give you better gains but doesn't look or sound as good as the J's racing intake. IMO stick with the J's racing. Depends what your after really. Performance or coolness :D
 
DC2 airbox with feed to wing for the win.

Or mugen/ tegiwa airbox :nice:
 
would love a mugen but dont have the money! yea its jus that de j's racing one seems to get ALOT of heatsoak......i hav a power fc commander and it reads air temp and it seems pretty high
 
get a cold air feed sorted to it. The filter is in a pretty good spot so shouldn't really suffer from heat soak unless the cars getting awful abuse.
 
Except its sat behind a glowing hot H4 whenever it gets dark.

Fair bit of heat in a headlight and where does it go? It gets blown backwards through the engine bay straight into whatevers is behind it
