This is my turbo set up:
Greddy turbo t618z(from rx8 turbo kit)new
greddy turbo manifold
greddy e-manage
greddy 3 bar map sensor
400cc injectors
front mount intercooler
arp head studs
arp rod bolts
original head gasket
low com pistons(wiseco)

my questions:
For what engine i will buy the pistons(b16a or b18c)? I will use stock rods
the arp head studs and arp rod bolts for what engine (b16a or b18c)?

How much hp can handle this set up?
Any opinions welcome
thanks

Pistons you get for either b16a or b18c but your going to have to do some math to figure out actual compression in the b16b, the rod bolts i thought all b series was the same part number? Maybe best to email ARP to be sure or check with a distributor. Your setup should be safe for about 350-375whp with the rods being the limiting factor, why not just buy a used b16a shortblock? That way you can just buy eagle rods for $300 and with all the other mods you should be good for about 450whp!

i know that the typer rods is 1mm differents from the b16a rods(where they conect to the pistons), is this true?
i want to stay with the b16b block.
i want to stay max 300whp so i dont have any proplems with the stock rods

I'd dump the e-manage while you're at it...

i all ready have this e-manage and i have some friends with e-manages and they dont have any proplems
i will control ignition and fuel with it so i think it will be ok
why you dont like it?

It's old school, management technology has developed leaps and bounds since E-manage.

It's fine for a basic tune, but there is so many top shelf options for Honda's these days.

correct. In order to use "R" pistons in a 16A, the small end of the connecting rod will have to be shaved or the piston itself will have to be cut.

You need to purchase a Type-R/18C5 (as it is known in America) specific piston that is KNOWN to work with a STOCK rod.

The only one I am currently aware of is from Mahle. There may be others, I am not certain as forged pistons are usually mated to forged rods.

Precisely.

:nice:

While it's not completely relevant/B-series specific, you can see the limitations of e-manage here when used compared to systems more suited to Hondas.

i know that the e-manage is not the best and is old school
after when i have extra cash i will buy stand alone managment

the typer r engine is b18c or b18c5?

uh...it's right there - the info... quite clear in fact.

now that I think about it a little more, any 18C piston (forged or cast) will work with the 16B rod because the 16B/18C rods are already thinner compared to the thicker and more robust 16A rods.

is any way to know 100% that the b18c forged pistons will work with the stock b16b rods?

nobody I know personally has tried it. Measure the small end of the con rod and then provide that information to the piston supplier.

what you think blinx9900(turbo man) for b18c forged pistons with b16b stock rods?
b18c forged pistons you can fint them easy

dood.... why not just measure the small end of the rod and give that info to the piston manufacturer to compare??

when i open the engine to built it, i want to have all the parts to finich my project, i dont want to leave my engine open( i use the car every day)
iam not from usa so when i order the parts from usa i have to wait 25-30 days to have them here in europe. in europe is hart to fint this parts

Then I suggest you find somebody with a broken B16B or somebody who has their B16B stroked to a B18 and have them do the measurement of the connecting rod for you.
