B16B to B18C

a built motor is a built motor, they are equally as strong.

now if your comparing a k with boltons and cams which usually make about 230whp and a stock block turbo b-series which usually make 230-270 whp then yeah the K is going to be more reliable.

but at 400whp that k motor is on edge big time. like i said, in the end a built motor is a built motor i dont care if its NA or turbo, there going to last the same imo.

That is my point. :nice: And personally, I hate opening motors.

Nearly 400 hp all motor for a k series? Who achieved that? I talked directly to the one of the clutchmasters drag car drivers (saul) last fall and he said that the insight had 340 hp to the wheels. And that is the fastest all motor k-series that I know of. Maybe close to 400 on an engine dyno? Or has k-series tuning progressed by 60 hp since last fall?

I believe I saw that car's dyno @ 372.

The k motor is well better than a b-series but much more money is needed to get such bhp from a na tuned car over a turbo. If i was to get the swap, it'd 7000 spent and i'd have a 220 break civic at the end of the day. spend 7000 on a turbo set up with lowering the compression and forged parts I could easily get over 300. A turbo car is fine once ya don't run d **** out of it, sorry for the bad language, If u treat a turbo right, it'll treat u right!!

Just build a GSR motor. I know a few people that are in the 800hp range with GSR motors. A friend I saw this weekend:

1.9 gsr 866hp @ 40psi 116 octane
