hey peeps, i was goin to do a build up thread but i cannot find all pics from wen i first got it
So april last year i turned 21, have worked for honda for 3years at the time and it was finally my time to upgrade to jap , a 5hour drive and i have my vti
completely standard, full service history, reciepts from when the vehicle was purchased to date, 2 owners from new, 6k on the clock, serviced the day before i picked her up and also had new brakes fitted on rear
working for honda, i gave the car a very good check over and could not see any major problems bar two ball joint boots - pence from work, could not see any signs of vehicle bein tampered/modified with etc
so i purchased her, first things i did was gave it a lil drop 45 mm all round and factory style tints on the rear
then i aquired some angel head lights (worse idea ever) oem ek9 lights wich were on car are great. a vti-s front splitter - wich is in body shop at moment
then i purchased a set of rota grids and a invo auto tutanium backbox
got bored of the grids and decided to stay oem and have them poweder coated white
then things started to go down hill, 6months of owning it had serviced it twice already
my oil flashed on, i checked my oil it was fine, didnt see it again for a day or so, then it stayed on and i could here a noise coming from my engine,
my oil pump decided to chew its self up, swarf then got into my engine damaging shells etc
so i took it off the road and started to strip, finding different shells on bottom ends, all had spun on crank, the head had been played with etc
so i took engine out to strip and investigate weather to rebuild.
took me 3hours roughly to get ready to get on to hoist and out a hour later.
on my drive mother wasnt best of pleased lol
engine needing to many new parts shells,bearings, oil pump . i hunted down a vti engine kwkly(well took me a month to get money together)
whilst engine was out i had a mad idea, wanted to be slightly diff lol
so stripped bay down fully, cleaned up surface rust on lower panels etc, keyed and primered and painted 6 hrs later - result
2nd hand engine in and running
fort all was well and it seemed fine, i worked from half 5 saturday till 5am sunday morning to get this in and running. took to my work to check for any fault codes on computer all seemed fine
2hrs after i was about, i noticed bottom ends getting noisey, i was goin mad, i worked my ass off, i was goin thru hard time with ex-girlfriend and this just shat on my pie , as i picked engine up for a bragain, i should of expected this
so i saw my ass pottering back to my house, getting noisier and noiser, i fort fook it, ive been had off with a shitty engine - drop it and floored it - it went well for all of 5secs ....... got me home tho
the car then sat there for 2weeks, whilst i decided on what to do . . . .
then came the time, i saved my money and manage to get a big big bargain i think, considering ive seen these engines go for more with out box
engine,box( lsd ) ecu, loom, dyno printout -- bbbbbbbbargain
got home and a hour later, i was slowly getting there
had running a week later as had to order a prefacelift ecu wich i got very cheap of a kind fela on c.life
